Day3 – we might stay in Bhuj, if accommodation is not available in Kutch.

We have limited seats on this trip and it’s on a first come, first served basis.On most days, we have mentioned –if time permits. It’s because Rann Of Kutch and Bhuj will be very crowded since travelers from across the world come to participate. Also, the road travel is long. Hence, we need to keep these factors in mind each day.

Please book your flights to Ahmedabad after written confirmation from WOC.

Meeting place will be the Ahmedabad Airport.

    Day 1 : ARRIVAL AT AHMEDABAD & SIGHTSEEING

    ake a flight to Ahmedabad, on arrival check in at the Hotel.

    Afternoon, Visit to Siddi Saiyed Mosque (the cultural symbol of Ahmedabad city) 20 minutes’ Drive to Huteesinh Jain Temple (The oldest Jain temple in Ahmedabad famous for its carving) then 30 minutes’ drive to Gandhi Ashram. (Also known as Sabarmati Ashram – the house where Mahatma Gandhi had stayed for 13 years and from where the historic Dandi march had begun) Walk the hallowed ground to the prayer area overlooking the Sabarmati River.

    In the evening, reach Akshardham. One needs a minimum two and half hours to see the exhibition and shows. Witness the famous laser show on water from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Akshardham followed by dinner at the very hygienic and well laid out cafeteria at Akshardham. Arrive back to the hotel.

    Day 2 : AHMEDABAD TO BHUJ SIGHTSEEING (6 HR 51 MIN (330.9 KM)

    After early breakfast, proceed to Bhuj from Ahmedabad by road. On arrival at Bhuj, depart for lunch (on your own) and sightseeing. You will visit the famous Bhuj sightseeing tour that includes Prag Mahal- Its Corinthian pillars and Jali work depicting European flora and fauna are worth observing, Swaminarayan Temple and the Palace of Mirrors Aina Mahal .

    If time permits- will also visit Hamirsar Lake and Kutch Museum

    Overnight stay at Bhuj City.

    Day 3 : BHUJ- MANDVI-BHUJ (56 KMS/ 2 HOURS ONE WAY)

    Today, after breakfast, drive to Mandvi. Mandvi is located on the banks of the Rukmavati River, barely a km from the Arabian Sea at the Gulf of Kutch. The town has a very pleasant climate throughout the year and was a summer retreat of the Kutch Maharajas. The center of attraction at Mandvi is the Vijay Vilas Palace, a royal abode set in the middle of well-laid gardens with water channels and marble fountains. Then visit the famous Jain temple. 72 Jinalaya is a Jain Pilgrimage at 11 km from Mandvi and 51 km from Bhuj and is home to 72 Deris of Lord Mahavir. It is situated on the Mundra-Mandvi Road spread over 80 acres of area.

    In the evening, enjoy the sunset at Mandvi Beach. Then Stay overnight at Bhuj City.

    Day 4 : FULL MOON NIGHT | BHUJ TO HANDICRAFT VILLAGES/DIFFERENT COMMUNITIES TO WHITE RANN OF KUTCH TO BHUJ /KUTCH (280KMS)

    Today depart for the full day sightseeing of the handicrafts villages-Banni Villages and different communities which must be visited to view and purchase Kutch's traditional craft. Start by visiting the Meghval community doing leather work, Khatri Muslim doing Rogan art and making a copper bell, Mihir community doing wooden work. Nirona - to see bell making by Khatri Muslim community

    Then visit Bhirandiyara village for embroidery work of different communities such as Rabari, Meghval, Sodha Rajput etc. Also, visit Hodka Village. And later on, depart for White Rann of Kutch .Participate in the White Rann of Kutch Festival and see the beauty of the white Rann on a FULL MOON NIGHT. Overnight stay in Kutch.

    Day 5 : KUTCH TO BHUJODI VILLAGE (1 HR 47 MIN (77.8 KM) - AHMEDABAD 6 HR 20 MIN (323.5 KM)

    After a leisurely breakfast, leave to Bhujodi village, Enroute visit Dhamadka village for the art of block printing .Bhujodi village is famous for woolen shawl weaving and Rabari embroidery. Lunch will be had enroute at a local restaurant, then transfer to Ahmedabad from bhuj for an onward journey.
